International Workshop "Mathematical modelling of epidemiological dynamics" 2024
June 17 - 21, University Le Havre Normandy, France
Visiting Étretat is a good option for spending your Wednesday afternoon. Access to the city is straightforward; you can take the bus at the terminal, located just behind the train station. The bus line number is 13; you can find the departure schedules here:
Access to the bus requires a regular ticket, which can be bought, for example at any vending machine situated at almost every tram stop. It takes about 1 hour to go or come back. We recommend that you buy two tickets before taking the bus (the second one to come back).
Suggested itinerary:
Take the bus at Le Havre station at 14:10 (2:10 PM) to arrive around 15:07 (3:07 PM).
Take the time to climb up the cliff on the southern side (Porte d'Aval) to see the Manneporte Warning: DO NOT walk through the Porte d'Aval, even if it seems accessible at low tide. The beach on the other side is completely isolated at hide tide. So there is the risk of being trapped! The road that goes up the cliff is much safer.
If you like, take some time to see the beautiful gardens of Étretat (there is an entry fee).
Go back to Le Havre, for instance with the 17:28 (5:28 PM) or 18:38 (6:28 PM) bus from Étretat gare
