• By plane. There is no airport in the city of Le Havre. A convenient solution is to arrive at the Paris-Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) or Orly (ORY) and come by bus. Two companies operate a direct line from the Charles de Gaulle airport to Le Havre: Flixbus and Blablacar Bus. Make sure you depart from the Charles de Gaulle airport and not from one of the Paris bus stations, otherwise, you might have to take a local train (RER) to Paris before taking the bus.
  
• By train. Most trains going to Le Havre come from the Paris Saint-Lazare station. A typical route is to commute from Paris; the trains from Paris to Le Havre take approximately 2h 20min. A cheap alternative is to take a bus from Paris, as explained below. Going to Paris from CDG airport takes approximately 1 hour in a typical situation.
  
• By bus. There are convenient and cheap buses going from Paris to Le Havre. The buses departing from the Paris La Défense bus station take approximately 2h 15min to go from Paris to Le Havre; compared with trains, the time is similar. The La Défense bus station is at the end of the metro line 1.
